Programs Internship at Global Ties ABQ

Global Ties ABQ, a local nonprofit, is looking for a college intern to assist with our International Visitor programs. Global Ties administers professional international exchange programs for the U.S. State Department. The visitors we host are emerging leaders from around the world. The intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with our resource database
  • Assisting with writing proposals which are ultimately submitted to the State Department
  • Managing social media for the International Visitor Programs
  • Carefully putting welcome packets together for visitors
  • Occasionally meeting visitors and accompanying them to their professional appointments

Internship is unpaid; however, we will provide a small stipend and can assist with earning school credit.

Things you can expect to learn:

  • Grant writing
  • Data management
  • Effective social media skills

Communications/Events Internship at Global Ties ABQ

 

Global Ties ABQ, a local nonprofit, is looking for a communications intern to assist with Communications and the U.S. State Department program, the International Visitor Leadership Program for the summer semester, starting in May through August.

The intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist with marketing and Community outreach for the Diplomacy Begins Here Summit
  • Assist with updates to Global Ties ABQ website and social media sites
  • Write the Newsletter under supervision
  • Writing press releases to media outlets
  • Communicating with our members
  • Take photos at events, process, and prepare for website and other Global Ties ABQ uses

Things you can expect to learn:

  • Grant writing
  • Event Management
  • Effective social media skills
  • Organizational Communication

Intern must be available to work 12 hours per week from May to August. Internship is unpaid; however, we will provide a small, monthly stipend and can assist with earning school credit.
