Global Ties ABQ welcomes visitors from Armenia, Bangladesh, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Kenya, Laos, Mexico, Palestinian Territories, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, and Zambia to explore Non-Governmental Management in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Visitors will meet with The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNPE), SINC, Americans for Indian Opportunity, Impact & Coffee, and New Mexico Faith Coalition. In addition, members of this delegation will be presenting at Impact & Coffee.

The Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project:

  • Examine innovative NGO, non-profit, public service, and advocacy organization management strategies in the U.S.;
  • Explore the diversity of the non-profit sector in the U.S. and the dynamic relationships between business, government, and non-governmental organizations; and
  • Review NGO strategies for strengthening leadership, employing volunteers, using technology and social media, fundraising, and furthering the organization’s missions.
