The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is a professional exchange program that builds mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging leaders.
U.S. embassies organize delegations to visit cities and communities around the United States to exchange best practices, discuss important issues of the day, form partnerships, and strengthen cultural awareness. IVLP programs cover a wide range of topics such as the rule of law, food security, women entrepreneurship, and many others. When delegations of international visitors arrive in Albuquerque, Global Ties ABQ organizes meetings relevant to the delegation’s topic. We also ensure they get a taste of all the magic that New Mexico has to offer – the food, diversity, history, natural wonders, and more.
